Prophet Nigel Gaisie, leader of the Prophetic Hill Church, has made headlines with his strong stance against the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the lead-up to Ghana’s December 7 election.
During a recent interview on Hitz FM, Prophet Gaisie revealed that he is actively working to ensure the NPP does not retain power, criticising the ruling party for its treatment of the Ghanaian people.
Expressing his support for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate, John Dramani Mahama, Gaisie stated, “I am praying against the NPP government. They have hurt the church, they have hurt the nation, and they must go. Ghanaians need to hold them accountable.”
He emphasised his commitment, saying he prays daily for their defeat.
Acknowledging the imperfection inherent in his prophetic role, Gaisie remarked, I sometimes get my prophecies wrong. That makes me a human being. Every prophet that gets it 100% is fake.”
“Sometimes God will twist your mouth, and your lips to make a mistake so that you the vessel will know that you are a human being. Sometimes I get it wrong. That is why you have to always be sharp spiritually. That is why in the space of a prophet, we don’t like disturbances. My emotions are very important to me because I can see red and misinterpret it. And so sometimes we get it wrong,”
He further elaborated on the challenges faced by prophets, noting the importance of emotional clarity in delivering accurate messages and the need for spiritual sharpness.
He emphasised the importance of spiritual discernment and credited Reverend Eastwood Anaba for serving as a mentor and providing guidance.
“Most of us the prophets are not educated. And the senior men of faith did not hold us, they didn’t welcome us. So, personally, I have made a lot of mistakes which are regrettable because I didn’t have anybody who was so much interested in me. Someone like Reverend Eastwood Anaba will call me sometimes at dawn. He is someone that I love, and [for] some of us, he is like the checks and balances for us.”
