Former president, Donald trump was rushed off stage during a campaign rally in butler, Pennsylvania where loud bangs were heard in the late hours of Saturday, July 13th but survived the assassination. The 45th president of the United States suffered minor injuries on the upper right ear, landing him in a local medical facility.
Hours after the incident, president joe Biden condemned the shooting at Donald trump’s rally and expressed gratitude that Trump survived.
“Look, there’s no place in America for this kind of violence”, Biden said in a nationally televised statement. In support of this statement, former president, Barack Obama wrote on X (Formerly twitter), ” President Biden is right, there is no place in America for this kind of violence. As a country we may not agree on everything, but we should be able to agree on that.” He also expressed relieve that the former president was not seriously injured.
The FBI has named Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, as the gunman involved in the assassination attempt against former President Donald Trump. The secret service says Trump is safe and under protective measures.
