Kamala Harris is set to address the American public later on Wednesday, following a phone call with Donald Trump to congratulate him on his election win.
The Vice President, who was defeated in the election, spoke with Trump on Wednesday afternoon, and the two discussed “the importance of a peaceful transfer of power and being a president for all Americans,” according to a Harris aide.
Harris had originally planned to appear at Howard University in Washington, D.C. on election night, but canceled the appearance as her path to victory became increasingly unlikely.
The Vice President is now scheduled to speak at the university at 4:00 PM EST (9:00 PM GMT).
