Global InfoAnalytics has projected a clear victory for John Dramani Mahama, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, in Ghana’s 2024 presidential race.
The latest survey indicates that Mahama is likely to secure 52.2% of the vote, surpassing Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), who is forecasted to obtain 41.4%.
Other presidential hopefuls, including Alan Kyeremanten and independent candidate Nana Kwame Bediako, are expected to receive 2.5% and 3.0% of the vote, respectively, while minor candidates collectively account for 0.9%.
Parliamentary Projections
The NDC is projected to win a majority in parliament, with an estimated 150 seats, while the NPP is expected to secure 99 seats. One independent candidate is anticipated to gain a seat, and 29 constituencies remain too close to call.
Regional Breakdown
Mahama is predicted to perform well in key regions such as Greater Accra, Central, Western, Volta, and Bono East. Bawumia, on the other hand, is expected to retain support in the Ashanti, Eastern, Bono, and North East regions.
Voter Turnout
The survey predicts an average voter turnout of 77.6%, with variations across regions influencing the final outcome.
Global InfoAnalytics has promised a detailed analysis of constituency-level predictions following the general election on December 7, 2024.
