Chairman suspends vetting of Agbodza over disagreements

The Chairman of Parliament’s Appointments Committee, Bernard Ahiafor, has temporarily suspended the vetting of Kwame Agbodza, Minister-designate for Roads and Highways, due to disagreements between both the majority and minority sides.

The vetting process, which is part of the parliamentary confirmation procedure for ministerial nominees, began with Agbodza, a key member of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).

However, tensions quickly escalated, leading to heated arguments between the two sides.

As a result of the disputes, the Chairman decided to suspend the sitting until calm is restored.
