The Electoral Commission (EC) has revealed that a total of 18,774,159 voters are eligible to participate in Ghana’s upcoming presidential and parliamentary elections on December 7, 2024.

In a statement dated Monday, November 11, the Deputy Chairman of Operations, Samuel Tettey, provided a detailed breakdown of the voter registration figures.

He confirmed that the total number of registered voters includes those on the biometric register, special voters, and individuals without biometric data.

According to Mr. Tettey, 18,640,811 voters are registered with biometric data, while 131,478 are classified as special voters. Additionally, there are 1,870 voters on the register without biometric data.

The latest voter roll shows a significant increase of 1,746,518 registered voters compared to the 2020 election, which had a total of 17,027,641 registered voters.
