The flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, has set conditions for accepting the results of the upcoming 2024 elections, scheduled for Saturday, December 7.

In an exclusive interview with BBC Africa, Mahama emphasised that his acceptance of the results would depend on the fairness and transparency of the electoral process.

“If on the election day, there is widespread ballot snatching, beating of people and the military moving in and intimidating people and thugs are all over the place, rampaging the place, you want me to accept that result? It will depend on the transparency and the fairness of the process,” he stated

He highlighted the importance of a credible election and expressed concerns over potential electoral violence and irregularities, stressing that his position is grounded in ensuring a transparent and fair electoral process.
