Mahama appoints Haruna Iddrisu Education Minister Designate, Agbodza for Roads

President John Dramani Mahama has unveiled his latest round of ministerial appointments, with several Members of Parliament (MPs) taking on key roles in his administration.

Notably, Haruna Iddrisu, the Member of Parliament for Tamale South, has been nominated as the Minister-Designate for Education. Kwame Governs Agbodza, the Majority Chief Whip, has been selected to head the Ministry of Roads and Highways.

Other key appointments include Eric Opoku, who has been nominated as the Minister-Designate for Food and Agriculture, and George Opare-Addo, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Youth Organiser, who will lead the newly established Ministry of Youth Development and Empowerment.

  8. Ahmed Ibrahim, MP – Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs
  9. Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, MP – Ministry of Trade, Agribusiness and Industry

These appointments reflect Mahama’s continued efforts to strengthen his government and address key areas of development in the country.
