A young man has been arrested for vandalizing several cars and other property on the premises of the Ghanaian Parliament in Accra on Wednesday, December 18, 2024.
The suspect, who was dressed in white clothing, reportedly smashed the windscreens and windows of at least seven vehicles parked outside the parliamentary building.

Eyewitnesses described the man as appearing mentally impaired, though his exact motive for the attack remains unclear.

During his arrest, the suspect was heard shouting, “Daddy, don’t kill them. Daddy, don’t destroy my people,” while looking toward the sky. Security personnel quickly intervened, preventing further damage and apprehending the individual.

He was handed over to the Ghana Police Service for questioning. Authorities have yet to release an official statement regarding the incident.
