Police commend public for successful presidential inauguration

The Ghana Police Service has expressed gratitude to the public for their understanding and cooperation during the presidential inauguration held on Tuesday, January 7.

His Excellency John Dramani Mahama as President and Her Excellency Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang as Vice President were successfully sworn in.

In a press release dated today January 8 2025, the Ghana Police acknowledged the support of the general public, particularly the motoring public, for their patience and tolerance amid temporary road closures and traffic diversions in Accra.

The police further reassured the public of their commitment to maintaining peace, security, and law and order across the country as they urged citizens to continue supporting the police in their efforts to ensure a safe and peaceful environment for all.

The Ghana Police Service reiterated its dedication to upholding the rule of law and ensuring the safety of all Ghanaians.

“The Ghana Police sincerely commends the general public for their understanding and cooperation with the police yesterday during the swearing-in of the president and vice president of the republic of Ghana, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama and Vice president, Her Excellency Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang”.

“We particularly thank the motoring public for their patience during the temporary road closures and traffic diversions in Accra during the event”.

“The police remain committed to maintaining peace, security, law and order across the country and urge the public for their continuous support”.
