National Democratic Congress (NDC) National Chairman, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, has expressed confidence that the NDC will return to power with a strong majority in parliament after the December 7 elections.
Speaking at the NDC’s final rally at Zurak Park in Madina, Asiedu Nketiah stated that Ghanaians have decided to elect John Dramani Mahama as the next President.
He emphasised that the NDC is on the verge of making history by generating the first female Vice President in Ghana’s history.
Asiedu Nketiah also accused the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) of attempting to deceive voters by campaigning for both John Mahama and the NDC’s parliamentary candidate.
He urged supporters to remain vigilant and not fall for the NPP’s tactics.
The NDC National Chairman concluded by expressing his conviction that the party will return to office with a strong majority in parliament, emphasising that Ghanaians will vote for both President Mahama and their parliamentary candidate.
He said, “The people of Ghana have decided and the decision is that John Dramani Mahama is the next resident of Ghana. And NDC is at the verge of making history. The NDC is going b the first political party ion the history of this country that will generate the first female Vice president if the republic if Ghana and it’s already happening.”
He added, “I want to urge you; all of a sudden, the NPP have found a reason to campaign for John Mahama and campaign for our parliamentary candidate. Tell them that we have seen through all their tricks.”
“President Mahama is going back into office with a solid majority in Parliament. We are not going to fall for the tricks of the skirt and blouse people. We are voting for President Mahama and voting for our parliamentary candidate. I am convinced that we are returning to office with a very strong majority in Parliament.”
